What family? He was divorced. As in, the wife has the prefix "ex-". Meaning he didn't exactly leave a family. Not to mention that the "rich" part will likely see to it that the child will not suffer that much.
As for spoiled, he worked for the money, wasn't as if he had rich parents and they gave him all their money so he can live in style without moving a finger.
Btw, reports so far claim it was accidental.
