My Neverland Script

Hey everyone. Awhile back someone on here mentioned that I must have my own ideas of what Neverland might be like and that I should post it. Well, with all the talk of the BOOH musical and Neverland lately I decided to sit down and write out my version of a Neverland script.

It is based pretty much on the 1977 workshop adding in things that Jim has said over the years that he had written for the show. I then re-wrote some stuff to clarify the storyline as I saw it and clean up things that didn't make sense to me.

Lastly I had to re-write the begining of Act II since no one knows much about it.

I tried my best to stick to the feeling and intent of Jim's original show because I feel very deeply that it is full of meaning. However I felt that in several places it was very muddy and could do with some cleaning up of the story itself.

I don't think this is anything like what Jim's BooH musical will be like, but this is how Neverland has appeared in my mind since I first heard it in 1995 and spent years dreaming of directing it on stage.

I'd love to hear any comments or thoughts anyone has... Especially JIM! How about a Blog post?
