I wasn't impressed with Cloverfield. The entire film rested on the gimmick that is was shot with one camera. Once you get over that neat convention you're left with a sub-par monster film with little character development and no real monster money shot. Just a let down. Opening weekend it did real well in U.S. but tanked the next week once word got out.
But I did finally watch Sweeney Todd this morning. This one did not let me down.
