Meat and Jim both told me. Meat told me on MLUKFC when he was posting as Fireball. He would have told others there as well. Jim told me when he sent me that email that was later posted at the Rockman. Jim didn't accept it, and it says so in the letter, because Meat apparently wanted 50% of the rights to the name "Bat Out Of Hell". Meat's lawyer called it the most expensive record producing deal in the history of the business, which Meat also mentioned in various interviews (notably Classic Rock) around promotion for TMIL.
