I went to see Leonard Cohen yesterday in Berlin and I was totally enthralled throughout the whole performance. It was beautiful beyoned words. The show lasted for about 3 hours, not including the intermission, which probably added to my feeling that is must be the best show I have seen in years.
What do you all think of him? It's probably not the kind of music which one would associate with Steinman-like music, nevertheless, it is exceptional in its own right. The lyrics of Cohen's songs have some transcendental magic with romantic irony in it.....or something like that, I just can't find the right words. Any other ideas?
