Hmmm I think it was just a critique on the lyrics (and I agree with the bald headed guy that the guitar didn't sound very good either).
I think Desmond couldn't understand what he was singing 'cos he missed a syllable (to make it fit) and pronounced it i'slated isle, which is just horrible, and even the lyric 'isolated isle' is a bit cringeworthy?
I don't think it was a slight on Sweden (or anywhere else), unless I am missing something?
