Lyricists

I always had admired Jim's lyrics as being so unique in the content, style and imagery. Over the years I have found that Billy Squier is in the same league, especially his EMOTIONS IN MOTION and SIGNS OF LIFE. Significant as Jim produced SOL. Don't really know what happened there as it was not all that well received and neither Billy nor Jim comment a great deal on it.
Tony Carey is another great lyrcist. His style is in the same vein as Springsteen and Seger but the beauty in the words always makes me think of Jim at his best.
