I listened to this album for a first time for a while and although I thought it was Ok when it came out, it is pretty hard going getting to the end of it now. It is like it is on speed the whole way through apart from the end song. No wonder Meat's voice failed him afterwards! The pacing is way off and even some obvious Steinman tricks missed. An example would be Blind as a Bat, the lyric could do with a female answer at the end of it to set it off. The album is far too long. I would be interested to hear what it would be like if it was just 9 tracks and in what order? Also if Bat out of Hell 3 was just Jim's songs old and new what should they be if you limited it down to 9 or 10 songs?
