| Great plan but which songs would you edit? How long will the show last using your plan (taking into account that speeches and a book will be included)? What in your opinion is the longest amount of time the show can last (including probably two intermissions - since there are three acts)? I agree with you that BOOH the song should open the show but there are those who think it should close either the show or the first act. Could it open the show and then be reprised to close the show? If yes, would the opening BOOH the song need to be edited? What should be shorter, the opener or the reprise? > JIM STEINMAN’S > BAT OUT OF HELL > A NEW MUSICAL SPECTACULAR > > BAT OUT OF HELL > YOU TOOK THE WORDS RIGHT OUT OF MY MOUTH (HOT SUMMER > NIGHT) > HEAVEN CAN WAIT > ALL REVVED UP WITH NO PLACE TO GO > TWO OUT OF THREE AIN’T BAD > PARADISE BY THE DASHBOARD LIGHT > FOR CRYING OUT LOUD > I’D DO ANYTHING FOR LOVE (BUT I WON’T DO THAT) > LIFE IS A LEMON AND I WANT MY MONEY BACK > ROCK AND ROLL DREAMS COME THROUGH > OUT OF THE FRYING PAN (AND INTO THE FIRE) > OBJECTS IN THE REAR VIEW MIRROR* > EVERYTHING LOUDER THAN EVERYTHING ELSE > LOST BOYS AND GOLDEN GIRLS > WHO NEEDS THE YOUNG? > WHAT PART OF MY BODY HURTS THE MOST > WE’RE STILL THE CHILDREN WE ONCE WERE > > * Yes, “OBJECTS IN THE REAR VIEW MIRROR…” has already been > recycled into “Tanz” but so has “WHO NEEDS THE YOUNG?” in > the crypt sequence and Andrew Lloyd Webber recycled the > main song from “The Beautiful Game” back into “The Phantom > of the Opera” sequel.
