Wouldn't that be a fantastic interview, with the two of them together again? That could be one of the highlights of the "BOOH The Musical" publicity campaign. I bought the Meat Loaf Live In Germany 1978 DVD and it includes an interview with Meat and Jim together. Its a bit goofy but a must for any Jim fan. The two of them had great chemistry. Like Simon and Garfunkel.

I did hear that Meat asked Jim for "Body" but that Jim turned him down. However, I'm not sure exactly why Jim did that. I presumed it might have something to do with bad feelings over the lawsuit or bad feelings about Meat going ahead with "TMIL" without Jim. I thought that maybe you or another poster might know more about it. Would it be rude to ask Jim?

No, I said that I had heard about "Phantom" but I'm not sure if I heard the right story. I think it may have been you who told me ages and ages ago. The story I heard is that ALW was going to buy the rights to an existing show called "Phantom" (which used classical music) as a vehicle for Sarah Brightman but that Jim talked him into writing an original "Phantom". And then Jim's feelings were hurt when ALW didn't ask him to do the lyrics.

Yes. I would love to know what Jim would have written. Is it possible that Jim's lyrics would have been too complicated, too rock and roll, too witty, or too artistic for "Phantom"? The show wasn't aimed at intellectuals. But perhaps "WDTW" was. ALW must have had some reason (not saying that it was a good reason) for not asking Jim to do the lyrics. If anyone knows more details about this, then please post them. This is an interesting subject that Ryan has brought up.
