On the other hand there's been the continued success of Tanz throughout continental Europe. But I see your point, not a classic decade but things always seem to have to get worse before they get better; and it's the moments of personal triumph we need to cling to WHEREVER WE FIND THEM in the next decade to claw our way out of this hole.

May the 10s fare us all better :)
