I listened to IDAFL in excess of 12 times a day for 6 weeks putting this analysis together, and every time I thought 'Oh there's something I didn't hear before, did I mention that'. The damn assignment ended up being 48 pages long in the end, and I refused to listen to IDAFL for about 6 months after I had finished, just incase I had found something else....lol David's input was tramendous and it gave me a greater appreciation for the album, once I realised how much more effort had to be put in to it to get it to sound the way it did. He also left me with some very good sound mixing tips and advice that I tried to encorporate into the rest of my studies and my practical time in the school studios. I now have a few of his mixes that I use as reference pieces when ever I do any mixing or set up a live room. Yeah and 'Smooth' is one of my favourite tracks...lol | |
