| Lucas is milking that cow to death. Turning the space battles 3D shouldn't be a problem, Lucas has enough CPU power to make that happen. Turning the actual 2D film into fake 3D is an entirely different matter. Can't see it working out well. Also, the current 3D hype for movies is annoying. All to often you see shots that were just made to show off the nifty new effects. And those look like shit when you watch the movie on TV. Regarding TV series, Babylon 5 all the way. Farscape second. Only occassionaly watched Star Trek. Guess due to the lack of an overarching story. The series I'm currently waiting for isn't SF, but Fantasy, George R.R. Martins' Game of Thrones. The trailers look promising. Also the fact that each book is supposed to be turned into one season. As for books, Simmons Hyperion Cantos is excellent, so's his Illyum series, Hamiltons Nights' Dawn Trilogy is awesome (but a lengthy read). If you want gritty and SF Noire, I'd suggest Richard Morgan. For some reason I never got into Asimov and Clarke. Managed to wade through the 2001-3001 series, but it was a drag. > I noticed The Wolf talking about Doctor Who in his profile > (he would like to write for that series) and LordRahl > recently suggested that "Farscape" would be a better plot > than Peter Pan for "BOOH".
