| Its hard to say, on the one hand you have Meat's amazing vocals on the album, but it cam coupled with all his bullshit and temperamental, such as him half losing his voice and half losing his mind!. To be honest, good as Bat is, the authenticity of Jim's voice is exactly the reason I LOVE it. There are clips of interviews where sings pieces of two out of three and its really good. To be honest, I'm happy with Meat singing Bat, but I'd love that spoken about demo of Jim singing Bat to be unearthed, I know Meat said that no demo exists but perhaps the demo was for the Never land workshop, or perhaps Meat is lying, which wouldn't surprise me. With the that demo and (and any other Jim sung demos) we'd have the best of both worlds really. > This has probably been hypothesised on before.... > > What if Jim had released Bat himself without Meat? > I do firmly believe Meat had some creative input on the > album (the mix and the story of Paradise for example) > however I am sure he could have done a similar job himself > but obviously not with the power house vocals. > > Would the album have worked as well? > > I personally really like Bad for Good and simply don't > hear the bad vocal that others are always on about. > Perhaps I look at music a bit different and don't always > care about who is fronting/singing the lyrics.
