No disrespect mate, but she has such a bland, generic rock voice (and the vocals have been heavily treated in the studio as well).

It never ceases to amaze me when people keep putting forward American Idol/X Factor-style singers as good choices to record Jim's songs. Have we forgotten the hell that was Celine Dion so quickly??

Look at two of Jim's biggest commercial successes - Meat and Bonnie. When Bat came out, people were as much amazed by this fat man with a voice that was part operatic, part Texan rockabilly, and part old fashioned soul man as they were by the songs. Same with Total Eclipse - a power ballad sung by a woman who sounded like a cross between Rod Stewart and Tom Waits.

I don't want to hear note perfect rendtions of Jim's songs by bland, boring "singers". I wanna hear something amazing - a voice that really stands out from the crowd and screams LISTEN TO ME!

Remember folks - Karaoke Steinman is worse than no Steinman at all.
