| The version of Bad For Good Meat did is too slow, there's no urgency, no fever. It was, if you pardon the bad pun, build for comfort, and not for speed. I think had Jim been in control, it would have been another story, it would have been better then the version we ended up getting I know that for sure. It's all coming back had no business being on the album and shouldn't have been on there. Of all the Steinman songs they could have picked to cover for a Bat album, I think it was a strange decision. Seize the Night could have been great if done right, what we got wasn't bad, again, it had the problem with Bad For Good, it's just too slow. Future could have been interesting, but I think Pandora's Box version of it is perfect and doesn't need adding too to be honest. Body I think would have been a nice addition to the album, as Jim's songs go, its got it all, great lyrics and compelling story behind it. I dont quite think we've heard what the song really is yet, if that makes sense. Alot of the Dream Engine performances have different arrangements and varying musical styles (The most recent version I've heard is alot rockier then I've heard the song before) Perhaps we would have heard a more complete version of it on Bat 3. I think Not Allowed to Love would have worked great as a duet for Meat and Patti in my opinion, the duets on past Bat albums have all been loud declarations of love, hate, anger. Sometimes all at once! Would have been nice if we had something a little quiter, more intimate Having a reprise of For Crying Out Loud like the one from Kid Champion demo would have been a fucking epic EPIC!!!! way to end the Bat Out of Hell franchise with. All blistering guitar solos and Piano thunder! | |
