Ha! Brilliant way of putting it!

Picture TMIL like LA in T2. Then picture Jim's Bat 3 like the nuclear bomb. In my mind, it would have completely wiped it out, even if the songs weren't all that great (And I think the new songs are just as great as the old ones.)

It could have been on Bat 2, and I think it was supposed to have been. But then Jim wrote another duet (There were 3 duets on TMIL. It only needed one.)

Of all the Steinman

It's not a bad version. In my mind, it actually sounds like it could have worked in "Batman", with Meat as the Joker.

Future could have been interesting, but I think

Yup. "Original sin" has the best version. "Wuthering Heights" is nice because it's just the piano (from the original version as well) and the singer. I know there are people who really like the Patti Russo version but I didn't think much of it.

I think it could have been the AFL of Bat 3. And "Still the Children" would have been the Objects/FCOL.

Yup. If it was Meat, the band, and maybe orchestrations from Steve Margoshes, again, picture LA in T2... ;-)

There are so many people who think nothing of this song. I told a friend of mine that I think it's one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, and she heard it, and didn't think much of it. But it really touched me, and it still does, and I think it would have been an amazing Bat 3 moment.

I thought "Still the Children" would have been the best closer. And maybe a small reprise as a bonus track.
