I think they have to go with something new, with maybe references to the Bat 1 & 2 covers (forget Bat 3, which apart from the Bat, was a bit of a mess). Most show posters are quite clean and uncluttered, with emphasis on a large title. I envisage a large angry Bat (similar to Bat 3) with 'Bat Out of Hell' tattooed across it's wings. But then does a Bat have anything to do with the show? Should references to Peter Pan be on the poster? Is Peter Pan still relevant to the story? Is Obsidian an apocalyptic NYC? Should there be a motorbike somewhere? Whoever the designer is, will have a tough job (if it hasn't been finished already). | |
