| I got one real problem with this whole BOOH/Neverland/peter Pan post apocalyptic vision. That is it's all been done before, there's nothing that i have read about it that in some way, shape, or form is not derivative of a whole host of musicals and sci fi film/tv series. Lets look at the roller skating angle, Starlight Express spring to mind? what about Bowies aborted musical from the 70's which cast a gang of roller skating orphens living on the roofs of London. Then there's peter pan, well, what can i say, it's been done to death, in a lot of ways it's just gonna seem like son of Mad Max Thunderdome. Personally i think the whole Peter Pan angle ought to be rethought, maybe go with the Renegade Angel idea of a fallen angel getting his wings. I know the Neverland project in a lot of ways has been Jim's lifelong project, but honestly i think pan has been done to death over the years either as direct film/stage versions or the inspiration for a whole host of movies, hell Lost Boys with Keifer is just a retelling of the same tired story On another note "Bikers Of The Round Table" great idea but again this idea has been done "Biker mice From Mars", my kids like Jet X, but the level of animation is well juvenile (obviously). How about handng the BOTRT idea over to a quality anime studio, can you imagine it as a CGI movie along the lines of Squaresofts "Advent Children". Don't get me wrong i wish all involved the best of success with both projects, i will certainly go to see the show when it happens. My way of thinking is Jim should get Tanz out to a wider english speaking audience. > The title says it all, but does anybody have a person they > would love to see play the lead in the Bat Musical? > > As it's launched is planned for the UK, I think it would > be fair to say the cast are likely to be mainly British - > not sure if that would be a good or bad thing myself! -. > > My only no no would have to be please make sure Michael > Crawford is not in the audience never mind the show! | |
