The reason I also agree is "Psycho" was done by the crew of Hitchcock's T.V. show. Definitely see "The Frighteners" un-cut. The lost scenes are thrilling, particularly with Agent Dammers. Remember the scene in the graveyard? Trini Alvarado's character goes nuts at him ("Get me out of here!") and Dammers jumps out of the car and rips his shirt open. There's a lot more to this. There's a whole frantic monologue he recites, holding up his hand which bares a Nazi sign (the reason it was cut. Everyone only paid attention to the visuals.) He goes on and on, like something out of "The Dream Engine". This guy reminds me of The Historian! LOL But all the cut stuff is even stranger than what made it, totally different movie (and better) once I had seen it. I also love Jackson's earlier picture "Heavenly Creatures" (the last scene is unforgettable) but haven't seen his first one "Braindead" (I think it's called) | |
