| Previewing a show in the largest theatre in London's West End *before* taking it to Toronto... the strangest theatrical strategy I've heard for a while. London is finding it very hard to fill its large theatres at the moment, so I can't see the Coliseum as being a very sensible, or required, choice. And using the West End, one of the world's two theatrical capitals as a testing ground doesn't make much more sense either. > Jim has said on FB that Manchester and London are > 'previews' and the show will then move to Toronto and > eventually Broadway. > > No timescale on Toronto/Broadway, but probably 2018. > > In regards Coliseum, the BAT run is a limited summer > season, and I think this is one of the few (larger) > theatres that puts on limited runs. A lot could change between now and then. | |
