RIP JS

I was in college, and BOOH caught my attention big-time - not the vocals, but the music, and the arrangements. In the 80's, I would hear a song on the radio that sounded a certain way ("Bad for Good", "Read 'em and Weep", "Making love..",and Bonnie Tyler stuff), - and call the station, ask who wrote it and hear "yup, that was a Jim Steinman Song". I still have my original BOOH, BFG, and other albums. As well as the BOH and BFG songbooks. I am particularly happy that I was able to pass the "love of Steinman" to my kids. Especially my younger one, the drummer. Until he got his own place we would often get together and play "Bat out of Hell" - him on drums, myself on keyboards. One of the things we could share, all thanks to JS. He will be missed. I hope his Rock and Roll dreams come true.
