Thank you!

I did a fan fic script as well, using all of the songs from the demos and some other songs Jim wrote (oh you know them, they're all like from Dead Ringer and stuff), based on the ideas Jim talked about on his blog and a mixture between the two Tim Burton movies.

Act 1 begins with a prologue of Bruce Wayne having a nightmare about watching his parents being shot in Crime Alley by a young man who later becomes the Joker, and as the young man approaches Martha and steals her precious necklace he sings "A good nightmare comes so rarely/While ordinary dreams are so easy to find" as the musical's version of "Have you ever danced with the devil by the pale moonlight?" from the films.

It's now thirty years later, and the Gothamites are singing "Angels Arise" outside the ancient Cathedral, before we rise up and see Batman standing among the gargoyles, watching out over the city, just the way Jim described on his blog, where he sings "Graveyard Shift". We hear the Joker laughing in the distance but we don't see him yet. He's hinted at a few times before then.

Next we go to Gotham Town Hall where the politicians are singing "In the Land of the Pig". They're trying to organize the 200 years of Gotham celebrations, which is why Bruce comes to the town hall where he stumbles into one of the secretaries who works there, Selina Kyle, and boldly ends up asking her out on a date.

That's how we wind up at Wayne Manor, where Bruce and Selina suddenly have flashbacks about the night of the Wayne's murder. They have this sassy relationship between them, and when Bruce starts reading her one of his love poems they start singing "Not Allowed to Love", and behind them on the wall as they sing we can see Batman and Catwoman's shadows/silhouettes dancing with one another. Only Bruce gets called away on urgent business, once Alfred interrupts the proceedings, and he has to go down into the bat cave.

Bruce and Selina are falling madly in love, singing "It just won't quit", as we finally see Joker in his lair who sings "Everything is Permitted". I imagine him being played by Michael Crawford. Joker's really jealous of Batman, just like the movies, and he desperately wants top billing in Gotham out of all of the characters! 200 years of Gotham is coming up and he doesn't want Batman spoiling his plans. At this point, nobody is really sure what to make of any of these characters, Batman is this mysterious vigilante who could be dangerous, Catwoman's a jewel thief, and Joker is just all over the shop.

Joker makes his announcement with Gotham, meanwhile Batman comes to the rescue at Flugelheim Museum where Catwoman's meeting with the Joker, where he sings "If it ain't broke (Break it)" as he trashes the museum with his goons. That's where Catwoman finds out that he's the same crim who killed the Waynes, because he sings that song "A good nightmare comes so rarely", as he threatens to kill her for mocking him.

Batman rescues Catwoman, Joker goes ballistic screaming and yelling and laughing like crazy, as the goons chase after them and battle them on the Gotham rooftops, where Batman and Catwoman wind up in a charged embrace. "Are we going to stay like this forever?" Batman asks. "Forever is such a long, long time," Catwoman responds, "and most of it hasn't even happened yet."

Joker is FURIOUS that he didn't get enough attention over the damage at Flugelheim, and when the goons start talking about the Batmobile, he launches into his big comic song "Wonderful Toys", the scene plummeting into darkness at the very end when he says, "The Joker has left the building!!!!!"

Act 2 begins with Catwoman singing "And I need all the Love I can get". Selina's in love with Bruce, but she's just so screwed up in the head, as we can see when she not only robs the jewelry store but blows it up as well.

Selina's wandering around Gotham square, as a choir sings "Angels arise" ("There are things that must be magic/There's no explaining why or how...") and Bruce goes to Selina's apartment to tell her that he's Batman, having no idea she's Catwoman. Selina tells him about being an orphan who saw the Wayne's being murdered in Crime Alley, and that she knows the Joker did it, after he started singing that frightening song... The truth has come out, and as they sing "Not allowed to love" together, Bruce leaves, both of them left wondering what on earth will happen next.

In Gotham square, they both sing "Making love out of nothing at all", based on Karine's demo version, where the shadows of Batman and Catwoman sing "It's nothing till I give it to you", "I'M nothing till I give it to you" behind them as they both sing. This leads into "Good girls go to Heaven (Bad girls go everywhere)" as Batman makes his way to Gotham cathedral, where he breaks down on the altar singing "The future ain't what it used to be". The A Cappella reprise at the end, from Pandora's Box, are all the Gotham citizens who have died over the years.

Batman and Catwoman get ready for the festival, where Joker is singing "Wasted Youth", and unleashes his deadly poisonous balloons, before Batman comes along and saves the day. Joker is murderously furious, signals his second in command Bob for his gun, says "Turn around, bright eyes" and shoots him in cold blood.

Joker meets Catwoman at the Gotham belfry, doing murderous renditions of "Nocturnal Pleasure" and "Love and Death and an American Guitar", ("I raised the guitar high above my head and just as I was about to bring the guitar crashing down upon the bed, my father woke up screaming STOP....!"). Batman turns up, and does battle with all the goons, as a big orchestral version of "Making Love" plays behind them, while Joker and Catwoman dance in the moonlight, like "Phantom" meets "Cats".

Catwoman wants to kill Joker, but winds up being shot over and over and over again, the Joker has a secret gun, and after Batman knocks him out, the dying Catwoman sings "We're Still the Children" in Batman's arms.

Joker wakes up, rambling sinisterly, "The curse of the dark... The devil's revenge.... Read my apocalypse!" and Batman forces him out onto the balcony, where Joker grabs hold of a gargoyle, the wing snaps off and he goes plummeting to his death on the steps below.

As Gotham gathers behind Batman, realizing that he is now their hero, the shadow of Catwoman appears looking out over all Gotham. She still has one life left!

I hope you enjoy that as much as I did typing it.
