That was extremely entertaining! Thank you so much for posting it. I always thought a Batman musical if done properly, would’ve been huge on Broadway. It would’ve been wild and exciting. Especially with Jim’s involvement. I wish it had happened. Didn’t Tim Burton’ make some kind of statement regarding it years ago? I can’t remember what he said or if he was enthusiastic about it or not? > > Thank you! > > I did a fan fic script as well, using all of the songs > from the demos and some other songs Jim wrote (oh you know > them, they're all like from Dead Ringer and stuff), based > on the ideas Jim talked about on his blog and a mixture > between the two Tim Burton movies. > > Act 1 begins with a prologue of Bruce Wayne having a > nightmare about watching his parents being shot in Crime > Alley by a young man who later becomes the Joker, and as > the young man approaches Martha and steals her precious > necklace he sings "A good nightmare comes so rarely/While > ordinary dreams are so easy to find" as the musical's > version of "Have you ever danced with the devil by the > pale moonlight?" from the films. > > It's now thirty years later, and the Gothamites are > singing "Angels Arise" outside the ancient Cathedral, > before we rise up and see Batman standing among the > gargoyles, watching out over the city, just the way Jim > described on his blog, where he sings "Graveyard Shift". > We hear the Joker laughing in the distance but we don't > see him yet.
