I forgot all about the Bat out of Nashville album. What a strange concept. I wonder how it originated? I only song from that album that I think could’ve benefited from a country treatment is Two Out Of Three. The others would’ve been strange but possibly cool. I just can’t imagine Garth Brooks belting out Bat Out Of Hell and it not sounding strange. Ahh the lost projects. I was looking at the photos of Jim on this site. There’s one of him with Terry Gilliam. Remember the rock Nutcracker project I think called Nutz? There were supposedly some songs composed by Jim for it. I wonder if they’ll ever see the light of day? Who will be the one to release them from the Vaults Of Steinman? > > There was so much going on in that era that might have > been really exciting for Jim: > > * A "Bat out of Nashville" album, taking songs from the > two Bat albums and two new songs, and turning them into a > country album. > > * Jim was working with Karine, who might have had huge > hits with "Safe Sex", "Braver" and "Making Love". > > * Jim was writing "Batman: The Musical".
