The reason was because I didn't know what you meant by "safe way of having sex", but one could consider mastrbtn to be a way of experiencing a sexual release, which is not the same as porn. So, it seems like a blending of topics....mstrbtn is a safe way of experiencing sexual release, but porn is not a way to have any kind of sex. So, now that I know what you mean, I think that you have focused on some good questions. Safe? Definitely...but also it is something to use as a tool for closeness when partners are absent from one another, or a tool for learning each other's needs when together. It also is a good way of releasing tension when by yourself, regardless of the reason. Putting on my "Westheimer cap", the orgasm is a release of tension, and always is followed by an increased relaxation. When you need to relax, it is a therapeutic thing to have an orgasm.I feel that the act of mstrbtn need not have any kind of controversy attached to it at all. If one is too afraid to be close emotionally, then the mastrbtn might serve for them a substitute because they trust themselves and do not have to outreach or be vulnerable to another. Then, there are of course, those issues which bring such a need about, in my opinion. | |
