Really great stories, but a little harder to believe than mine lol, but it is felicitious that you found this convention. I looked it up, The Opus Fantasy Ars Convention is at the Marriott DTC in Denver from May 25th to May 27th. Tickets are available at the door for $15 for the day or $39 for the weekend. Long ago, I used to go to and run science fiction conventions which included art shows and auctions. I worked the art show of one convention in Los Angeles in the late 1980's, and could not even know what artists I met there unless I knew them separately from that context. But I used to love the art I saw there. Fantasy art was my favorite because the imaginations were so fertile, much moreso than those who did space art which was the common theme amongst science fiction artists, rather than fantasy artists. Anyone near Denver should make a day trip there to look at wonderful art, even if you don't manage to see Michael, but I have no doubt you would. Artist Guest of Honor does have its time challenges, but his "job" is to mingle! Those kinds of conventions are so much fun to go to.

As for Jim being a character, yeah, he's one heck of a character, and I love and adore him :)

Here is the question I have most: What did Michael care if he drew an angel or not?
