> My question is this: Does an ending count as a "twist" > when the film-maker has shown you a falsehood the entire > time? Answer: No. The movie claimed to have a surprising ending. Which I suppose is true, cause there is no way to see it coming, or for the audience to figure it out. I good twist ending must have clues sprinkled throughout the picture and make the person viewing it feel like a dumbass for not figuring it out. Sixth Sense being the prime example. Unsual Suspects and Seven did it well. Fight Club is also a great example, the film hold true to the end reveal upon multiple viewings. Just wondering, did you view the dubbed unrated (American)cut, or the French language cut. The French cut made a better picture IMO | |
