| Wasn't exactly an improvement to the > Draussen/Stärker setup, like just about any other change > that was done in the US. Musically it is a stronger song. I can think of one change in the US version that I find superior to Kunze's story. In the US Act I ends with Sarah going to Krolock and him singing Come With me. I find this a stronger ending to the act than Alfred and Prof going to Krolock and Krolock singing the Love tune to Alfred with different lyrics. I find Jim's ending to the act stronger. That's about the only thing I can think of that I felt worked better in the US version... though there might be one or two other things if I sat on the loo and thought real hard. | |
