| I WISH I could enjoy CHSIB as much as Neighbourhood. Neighbourhood is a frigging great album that I never tire of. And all the signs for CHSIB looked great... and for some reason it just didn;t deliver for me. It' so much less than the sum of its part somehow. Dianne Warren's contribution/s were just too boring, and I think that has a lot to do with the entire album being a bit of a let down. When I first listened to it I kept remarking to myself how few SONGS there were on it. So few actual good songs, with so much fucking around, sound effects, dialogue, prose recital, pan pipe solos!? I think CHSIB is overdone, he should have released it alot earlier in the incredibly drawn out process. And TMiL is the opposite, way UNDERdone, rush job written all over it. > > > > Hmmm... that first paragraph was good, but maybe it could > > do with another "the first time you hear it" thrown in > > there somewhere. > > > > I can't listen to it.
