And as you've pointed out (thanks for proving my point) the list of songs on the TDE website are all old ones, which makes them basically a cover band, which is the same thing as OTT. > Why? Because he doesn't have the charisma of an Amy > Winehouse or the talent of a Britney Spears? Rob has had > a successful career on Broadway, and has recorded many > albums. She's a skinny crack whore singing about being a skinny crack whore, nothing charismatic about that. If he had had a hit with WPOMBHTM...LOL hypothetical nonsense. He wouldn't have had a hit with it because a) It's not a chart friendly song b) Rob is only a semi-known Broadway talent and bigger Broadway names and talent have struggled in the charts. > Because Jim has no new songs except in his mind. And you know this because you have some psychic link with Jim? seems a bit Susanesque. > But all they > > ever was is a vehicle to perform Jims back catalogue. > > That's not true. Yes it is true as YOU'VE already pointed out "If you look at their website their list of all their new songs is basically all the stuff Jim had already written." > Jim was unable to play the piano after his strokes. > Whether he recovered that ability I do not know. It is just a theory, but > it is based on the evidence that he could not play after > his strokes and that is how he composes and he has > composed nothing since that time. Your theory is flawed and is based on personal opinion and not evidence at all. Not all strokes are the same and not all recoveries from strokes are the same. Several people who've seen Jim in person said he's doing fine and I believe JD said that he's had to learn to play the piano all over again but he's getting there. Recovery from a stroke does take time and the person does need to take it easy. Perhaps Jim just wanted to take it easy for a while and not put his mind to anything, but that doesn't make him a cabbage who doesn't have thoughts or ideas. Whatever new songs Jim has had written since or before the stroke it's obvious he didn't want to waste them on Rob Evan and TDE, so we'll have to wait till BOOH:The Musical comes out. I do get the sense though that Jim might be putting all his eggs in one basket again, lets just hope they don't get scrambled. | |
