Meat Loaf had a killer voice in the '70s. It was shot after the first tour. It got worse in the early '80s. He got his voice back later in the '80s. It was pretty good in the '90s. Until he lost it again last year after the vocal cord incident, he sang okay in the '00s. Not like he used to, but hey, he's 60 years old.
BOOH3 was good. Not great, not terrible. It certainly did not deserve the BOOH title. But it was good. A couple of the songs were crappy, and without Jim's production style the Steinman songs sounded hollow. Meat's voice was a little shaky on a couple, but overall he sounded okay. Mainly I think he just tries too hard. I know 'overly dramatic' is his trademark, but he's too old for that anymore. I certainly don't put the album on heavy rotation like BOOH1, but I don't mind if it comes up on shuffle.
End of story. PLEASE.
