But I think you were wrong that people are not being negative about Celine. What about the poor woman who has been branded a silly cow by her husband because she prefers Celine's version? And the chap who burned his Celine CD. He could have just put it in the trash but actually burning it is a sign of hostility. You say that (hope I get it right this time): "it was unsurprising that people preferred Elaine's version, because it is so much better." But most people out there either preffered the Celine version or have never heard the Pandora's Box version. The point is that she has given Jim an international hit to add to his impressive collection and she has drawn attention to Jim's music amongst a crowd that may not have experienced Steinman magic before. Hopefully the Celine fans are now checking out other Jim classics like TEOTH. | |
