Very, very dark. My favorite line: "I wonder if she smells at all my shadow's scent on you" I also thought that the woman's use of terms of endearment like "honey" and "boy" after a brief sexual affair resounded as particularly creepy. I'm not sure about you, but people -- and women, in particular -- who use pet names and terms of endearment without knowing you really well sound either (a) condescending or (b) emotionally unstable and crazy. It's a pretty big warning sign that you could sleep with a woman, but you shouldn't even think about it. As usual, what I like best about your creative postings is that the character/narrator's state of mind kind of develops or grows more clear by the end of the song. The effect here is terrific. It's almost like we go from a girl who could be sad or jealous to a girl who has let those emotions drive her to craziness and then to evil. [Apologies to all the feminists out there who thought this lyric was about a heroine asserting her self-respect.] -=John Galt=- > I think I posted just the chorus of this a couple years > ago (that's all I had!).
