| > ...it's a lame tactic. It sure is. > What I said three months ago is still true today - "He is > not involved with the show in any meaningful way." That's not quite true. I am involved in an indirect way. I can't be bothered to debate it here. But I am not involved in any way that makes me feel important. I feel no need to be important. I post on the board because I have been a Jim fan for decades. I introduced the producers to Jim's music many years ago. > I'll post a news update when I'm asked to do so by Jim > and/or the producers of the show. You posted that the logo was not the show logo before I said anything. Once you said that I felt free to say that it had been rejected. In the same thread I talked about Scarfe. If it hadn't been for that thread, I wouldn't have got myself into trouble. Smeg was upset about so called "intimate information" but he posted about Jim not working with Ryhdian and that he knew that because of "common sense". The same is true of what I said about the logo. Even though what I said was not based on common sense, it could have been. Someone obviously put a lot of time and effort into that logo and yet (according to what you posted before I posted) it is not being used. If Jim had loved it, then why would the show not being using it? That logo was designed by the same chap who did the Rolling Stones tour poster. > If you want to believe that "Steven Stuart" is a fine > source of information or that his behavior is a reflection > (in any way) on Jim or the show - go ahead. But you'd be > dead wrong. Why would my behaviour be a reflection of anything? I don't get it. The Smeg/Egg Wars thing was a tongue in cheek joke. I don't know why Klasien got so upset by it. Several posters said they found it funny. One even said said it was the only thing on the board worth replying to (I disagree). If one reads the Smeg/Egg Wars posts carefully, they will actually see that I complimented old Smeg. I am rarely a source of information. There are great gobs of information I could post about but I am not allowed to. The biggest mistake I have made in the past six months was talking about Scarfe. I didn't talk about him to feel important or amused. It just slipped out and I couldn't take it back once I posted. I was tired and not thinking straight. I regret it now. Although even Jim got into trouble for saying things when he was posting as Wagner. Its very difficult to remember what can be said and what cannot be said. What is public knowledge and what is not. Scarfe was such a long time ago. I am sorry for saying that Jane Asher had a bigger impact than he did. Its just that she is a very charismatic performer who used to hang out with the Beatles. Gerald himself jokes about the fact that people keep asking her about Paul while he is sitting there. It was just a joke but my mother took it the wrong way and I got a mild lecture. I didn't mean to imply that Gerald is in any way dull or boring. Pudding is constantly saying that I spread bullshit about Jim. But you know my posts and you know Jim. What bullshit do I spread? That guy is such a Yorkshire Ripper. > Leaking tidbits (although he constantly acknowledges that > he's been asked not to - or may get in trouble) must make > him feel important or, at least, amused. So must the way > he provokes this reaction from all of you. I personally > think it's disrespectful to Jim, the show - et al... As you say, its only ever "tidbits" that I leak. If I wanted to cause trouble for Jim or my mother, I would be leaking big juicy bits. I would like to talk about everything with board members but not to feel important or amused. I look forward to the day when Jim blogs about what is going on so that I don't have to be careful about what I say. I can assure you that I have great respect for Jim and the show. I really haven't done as much as Smeghead thinks I have done. I have given him hardly any information. A lot of what I say is just common sense, as he often says. I notice that Smeg himself gives out information and talks about his sources. I think his complaints about me are a little bit hypocritical. > Why isn't he banned then? Why aren't a few others that > post here banned as well? Because the philosophy of this > board has always been to "allow everything" if at all > possible...and there is mercy left in this old world > still. There are all sorts of posters causing friction. It would be very unfair to make me a scapegoat. I think that the board is currently starved of Jim information and that is the real reason why there is so much friction. Smeg and Pudding don't help matters by constantly jumping on me. > Sad also to see so many of your losing faith. But that's > YOUR LOSS... Some are losing faith. But certainly not everyone. Once again I think its because the board was used to hearing about Jim and what he was up to and now they are starved. > > Peace to you, > Jacqueline Peace be with you also. I am sorry if I have disagreed with you in this post. I can assure you that I do respect you. | |
