| Fuck. Cocksucker. So I finally get around to buying HCTB at my local book/record store, and I decide to grab the one-disc / no bonus live CD deal and save myself $10.00 or so. Okay, great. Then I'm listening and I realize that "Like a Rose" has the F-word censored out of it. Fuck, that's bad. THEN it fucking hits me that "California Isn't Big Enough" isn't even on the fucking record! Argh! Now, neither of these things is that big an issue, in and of themselves. Neither track is a high point of the album (though each has its own charms that have grown on me to one degree or another), but... I absolutely detest this kind of censorship, and I hate that I've accidentally supported it. And seriously, if they have to put special labels on an album that HAS explicit lyrics, shouldn't they have to label them to let you know you're holding a censored product in your hands??? To let you know that there is another version out there with additional lyrics or even a whole 'nother song that you might want to buy instead?? FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK Fuck fuck. | |
