Before the shows on this tour I was starting to think his studio vocals were heavily manipulated but when I hear how good his voice is at the best parts of the show I can understand how they can achieve those studio vocals. I agree there is a difference but at 63 I think this is still quite a stellar achievement and quite in line with how other rock artists sing at that age. I noticed some vocal problems of Bruce Springsteen last year at Hyde Park too and that is the first time I heard that at his shows. I think the 60 mark is just quite pivotal. My opinion anyway. I'd still rather see them like this than not at all. I can understand not going if you are not fussed about the production part as of course that is a large part of what it's about these days. | |
