| Just got around to listening to this piano and vocals version of Making Love Out Of Nothing At All. It is Rory, right? Sounds exactly like him. I've never given this song much thought, the vocal melody in the bridge part (my heart is a drummer but he's lost etc etc) never made sense to me. Sounded disjointed, like I wasn't hearing whatever Jim was hearing when he wrote it. Well I think now I hear it… This version is nothing short of awesome. Rory's vocal on this is just pure sex. He's got one hell of a voice. I wish Jim would make an album with him. :o( Screw Rob Evan. Rory's voice when singing in the lower registers is surprisingly… what's the word? Broad? Wide? Expansive? It has a lot of presence, is what I'm trying to say. He doesn't deserve to be just the back-room guy. | |
