I haven't fully seen or heard the Washington version, but I know some things like: "The Vaults of Heaven" was broken up with dialogue whereas the version in London was a complete song. The song "Try not to be afraid" didn't exist yet or if it did it wasn't used in the production. "A kiss is a terrible thing to waste" is different in places than the version in London. But those are only minor things, I guess. The children had an aunt whose name was Dot who did not appear in the London version. I have programmes for both of the productions and here are the song lists from each:
