Interesting. Was the version of Whistle Down The Wind that was to open at the Martin Beck Theatre the West End version directed by Gale Edwards or the Washington version directed by Hal Prince?
I wonder if anyone on the board saw both productions and maybe the Bill Kenwright touring version as well. I would love to read some comparisons. Can you compare the different versions from online reviews?
But don't you think that Broadway must be more difficult than the West End? Look at how many ALW shows have not been to Broadway but have at least been tried out in the West End.
