| I'm no Imus fan, but this firing is a farce. If CBS wanted to fire him for violating some kind of policy, it should have happened immediately. Instead, they've just kow-towed to pressure. If no one complained, CBS wouldn't have batted an eyelash. I really hope Al Sharpton and his offended followers take their outrage down the street to Deathrow/Interscope and demand the firing of every musical act that uses the same kind of racial language that got Imus fired. Imus is an elderly white man who wears a cowboy hat and owns a ranch; he didn't invent the word "ho," somebody put it into his lexicon. Sharpton should go after those people, too, or he's a hypocrite. But then, I think he established that fact years ago, didn't he? | |
