Can't believe I am doing this but...

1. what more fun than to ponder upon what favourite artists of yours could team up and make heaven and earth move with their combined talents and passions? There is no shame in wanting more... Does that mean we do not value all that we have... HELL NO... if we did not value that we would not be here today!!

2. your dreams more real than mine... I doubt it but how does one compare such things? Let us not go into another argument on who's dreams are more real and who is the bigger and better fan. Please.

3. I cannot imagine any of our ponderings to be important enough to damage Jim's reputation or change the way he sees himself. I enjoy that he takes requests and replies on the board through his blog but would never assume to have a direct influence on his life, his writing or his outlook on either.

4. Jim does reply to what goes on on the board, he has just chosen not to do that here. And in the course of his blog has shown himself quite capable of standing up for himself. And I do believe at least some of the threads that go ugly come from a desire of one fan to defend his/her hero to another fan. Relapsing into another 'who's the better fan' debate. Pointless!

5. I do not think anyone here cares enough about rockfenriss's plans and issues here until one of them actually makes it to the stage somewhere. He has been spreading himself too thin to be in any way reliable in my opinion.

6. If things are black and white facts, what is the point in discussing them? And besides, considering the replies we have recieved from Jim in the past months, who says nothing we dream of here will ever come to be real?

7. Personal note: dreams and fantasies have always been the things that have made the world go round. Do you really think men would have landed on the moon when they did if no one had ever written any science fiction? If nobody ever dreamed of what might be out there?
People strive to accomplish things greater than they are and every now and then someone manages to make dreams come true and achieve something that was thought to be impossible.
And if to dream is what it takes to make seemingly impossible things happen, then why should we be refused to dream and grow?
