| Well I find that quite alarming really. If in your estimation he was 80% of his MSO performance, I would find that pretty damn un-lstenable. He's completely all over the shop and unbarably bad with the MSO. I thought he had got much better since then -- is that actually what you mean?? And I have to agree wth Markus, and refute the claim that being out of key is a problem plaging most touring acts, and one not worth mentioning. It's the fundamental thing separating a singer from a drunken karoake superstar. Being vaguely in the right key is not a big ask of a professional vocalist, in fact it's probably the FIRST ask. But Meat gets special dispensation it seems. :-/ Having bombarded you with that tirade, tho, I'm glad you liked it! :o) I saw him right after the MSO performances (ie the same setlist minus the orchestra) and it was a great show. The fact that his voice was so poor grated me big time in places, and it didn't matter in others. And in others his voice as up to it. So all in all it was alright on the night, in the smoke and lights and INCREDIBLY poor acoustic mix. I just find it such a huge shame that such a great vocalist can't perform in a concert setting anymore, because if he could it would be one of the greatest spectacles ever (and the DVDs and CDs relesed from live shows wouldn't be such double edged swords). > Ok guys, > I read many, many reviews of Meats shows the last few > months, and the disturbing thing was that some of them > praised it as the best tour ever and some of them said > it's not worth mentioning. > So I really didnt know what to expect. > Were the good reviews just some blended fans who'd still > say he's singing great when he's lying on the graveyard? > Or were the bad reviews just some disappointed > steinmaniacs still moaning about Bat3? > > As I couldnt really answer that question I decided to > watch the show first and build my opinion afterwards. > > And here it is - my opinion: As objective as can be.
