No. The crap on this board goes way beyond factual dispute, and goes all the way to comments like "I wish you would die" and "I wish you'd get run over by a bus". I'm not qualified to say if Susan lies or not. A comment I've seen some make on this board is that Susan is mentally ill, and says delusional things. A lie is a false statement that the speaker knows/believes to be false. If it turns out that Susan is delusional and saying untrue things, she is not lying, because she believes them. If any of you who harass her actually believe she is mentally ill and delusional, then there's no excuse for what you people do. In that scenario, she can't control whether or not she's delusional. Arguing and attacking won't change anything, only medication does. If arguing worked, delusional people would meet with professional debaters to have arguing sessions, and be cured. Doesn't work that way. Same thing applies to getting attacked and told you should die. That doesn't help either. They take pills instead because that is the only thing that changes the person's beliefs. And if Susan is not mentally ill, then a lot of the insults thrown at her have no business being said. So in either scenario, mentally ill or not, those who gang up on Susan and make the "death" comments have taken the wrong path. I'm so glad Steinman's forum is moderated by somebody who runs it by real and good principles, and not like some junior high-school clique where you get thrown out just for being the unpopular girl. | |
