Well, I figured I'd try to ignore Susan long enough to chime in on Jim...

I hope Bat works out for Jim. I fear that Jim isn't able to write anything new since the stroke so my guess is it will all be recycled music. Be nice if that was wrong, but that's the feeling I get. This being the case my guess is that Jim will be forcing songs into the show that were written for other projects like his Life is a Lemon/Pigs thing. Or Still the Children. Maybe it will work. I know this isn't going to be Neverland of the 70's. That show as it was written was wonderful and spoke to me, but was not commercially viable. I think it could be re-written to be commercially viable, but I think instead it will be gutted and lose it's soul. I hope I'm wrong. The whole Acrobats/Motorcycles thing to me speaks of Chandeliers falling and Cars flying more than anything of meaning. Again, I hope I'm wrong. I would have loved to have a chance to adapt and stage Neverland. I think it means more to me than anything Jim has done and I've reworked and staged it in many ways in my head a thousand times... so perhaps I'm too close.

As for Family guy. It was hilarious in the begining, and funny right after it was brought back from cancellation, but then it became a piece of crap. Simpsons stopped being funny about 8 years ago. South Park is the only one of the shows that Jim mentioned that is consistently hillarious and meaningfully satiric. But then it is basically Trey Parker's Brainchild every episode from writing to directing to performing to composing. The man is a genius in my book. I really don't want you to blow me though Jim... but if you want to send Elaine Caswell my way... even my wife would understand that one... she thinks Elaine is hot too...

As for Politics... too early to care... no one good on either side... as Paul Williams said "I hope that something better comes along..." I've become so morose about everything in the political realm I don't bother with it any more. Maybe in another year...
