The producers would open "Tanz" in the West End with a full proper English translation, leaving "Batman" to become Jim's first full Broadway production. I think this could have been an interesting choice. In the music video for "The Music Of The Night", Michael Crawford's performance as The Phantom reminds me a little of The Joker. Watch that and the Gotham City Cathedral scene in "Batman" 1989 where Joker and Vicki are dancing.
