I thought Polanski was done for statutory rape not actual rape, there is a difference. Also I believe Polanski had already admitted to the charge and to the sentencing but the prosecutor and judge changed their mind at the last minute which resulted in Polanski fleeing the country.
But at the end of the day it all falls back on the victim, what does she want to do? Now she's a fully grown woman with kids on her own it seems she wants to put the whole ordeal behind her, but can't.
