Hunters eg own guns. And yep, their intention is to kill. Wild animals usually. Before you go on about the inhumanity of killing animals, ask yourself the question whether you don't eat meat. Also I'd love to see the reaction of the various farmers if the population of deer isn't held in check.
Anyway, plants have feelings too, think of that the next time you dig your teeth into some defenseless tomato. Not to mention that veggies steal the food of veggie animals. Then there's the fact that humanity only managed to develop intelligence because they're predators. You don't need intelligence to stalk a blade of grass.

If someone has the plan to kill someone, he will easily do it. If there's no access to guns, there are still enough other options, bomb building plans are readily available on the net with material that can be found in most households.
