| Casting shows may be good for promotion... But I really want Jim to put on a good show... Seriously... Mikey Boy was cast solely for Promotion... you aren't going to get the best talent on a reality show... I can't stand the thought of Jim doing a bunch of stuff for promotion instead of for quality. You can get a well publicised piece of crap like Bat 3 or you can get a treasure that may not do well commercially like Pandora's Box... but at least we as Steinfans would have something to treasure... > I think he would be recognised/acknowledged a lot more if > he allowed it (ie - played the publicity game), but I > guess that's not his style? > > Someone's mentioned this before, but it would be cool if > Melvyn Bragg did a South Bank Show on Jim (very respected > arts show on ITV in UK). > > If/when Bat musical happens (in London), Jim should try > and do a lot of media (This Morning, Paul O'Grady, > Newsnight Review, Classic Rock, Q, newspaper interviews > etc etc), as well as a 'Making of' Bat musical DVD > (documenting the rehearsals, creative team interviews, > music recording sessions etc etc). > > The ultimate promotion/recognition for Bat (& Jim) would > be to do a casting show (like 'I'd Do Anything'), with Jim > as one of the judges. > > I'm sure ALW could pull the strings necessary to help get > that produced (maybe on ITV)?? > > Do Jim & ALW still talk? > > > > Hopefully you'll all be able to hear it soon.
