As I stated on my website last year, I only really like one song she did for Meat, I hope none of her songs were used.

He co-wrote six of the seven non-Jim song on Bat 3. I quite like "Blind as a Bat", but apart from that, none of his contributions are that good. Maybe it's a matter of who he writes with. BAAB is done with James Michael (I like everything he wrote for Meat but "Man of Steel"), so maybe together they can come up with some good stuff. Hell, even the few songs he did with Diane Warren ("Just Like Jesse James" for Cher, "Save up all your tears" for Bonnie, "Rosie" for/with Bon Jovi) are quite good. He's (co-)written enough great songs, but maybe the selection criteria for Bat 3 weren't all that.

What he co-wrote with Aerosmith (some songs on 'Nine Lives', 'Just Push Play', most notably "Jaded") isn't bad, but "If God Could Talk" is unforgivable.

It might be interesting to see what Meat could do with something by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra guys (O'Neill and Jon Oliva have written tons of amazing stuff for Savatage and TSO together), but since they're eternally busy with Nightcastle (due later this year) and whatnot, I can't see that happening, unless there are some leftovers.

But the most important thing, imo, is that Meat should select songs that he can sing, as opposed to songs he wants to sing but can't.
